Red Rock Canyon is a serene retreat ─ far from the maddening crowd, where wildlife, vegetation, geology and cultural resources make the visitors forget the harsh city life.

It derives its name from the 3,000 feet high sandstone cliffs that can be seen from a 13 miles paved loop. It gives you the taste of nature at its best. Located just a few miles west of Las Vegas, it is an idyllic spot spread over 197,000 acres within Mojave Desert. It enlightens you on wildlife, wild horses and burros, vegetation, geology, cultural resources and much more.

You can visit the Book and Gift store which offer you novel articles created by their local artisans like jewelry, handicraft items, books and maps. The Red Rock Canyon is an ideal place for the adventurous. You can enjoy mountain biking and test your skill and stamina. When fatigue threatens to overpower you, visit the Bicycle Pavilion. The pavilion offers a rest stop/destination location, with water and a restroom for bicycle enthusiasts. It also includes benches, picnic tables and fire grills providing opportunities for day use and small group gatherings.

You can also go hiking by following their various hiking trials. You can enjoy spectacular view all around and explore the flora and fauna from close quarters as you walk.
